Transitioning Our Monthly Donation Platform: What It Means for You and Fugee
At Fugee, we are always looking for ways to improve how we support refugee children and youth in Malaysia. We’re excited to share that we’ve transitioned our monthly donation platform, bringing our monthly donation system directly into our website for a more seamless experience.
Why the Change?
For some time, our monthly donors have supported Fugee through a platform called SG Global, where contributions were processed and managed. SG Global was an invaluable partner in helping us get started with recurring donations. However, with our upgrade, we’re now able to offer monthly donations through our own website, eliminating the need for a third-party platform.
When Is This Transition Happening?
The last debit through SG Global will be on November 29, 2024. After this date, monthly donations on SG Global will be discontinued, and you’ll need to update your donation details to ensure your support for Fugee continues uninterrupted.
What Happens If You Don’t Update Your Monthly Donation?
If you don’t update your donation by November 29, 2024, your recurring donation with Fugee will automatically stop. While we’re incredibly grateful for all your contributions, without updating your monthly donation, you won’t be able to continue supporting Fugee’s mission, which could create a funding gap for our students, teachers, and programmes.
What Does This Mean for You?
- Direct Connection 🔗: Now that our monthly donations are integrated into our Shopify-based website, you’ll experience a smoother process.
- 100% of your donation will go to Fugee 💰—the new platform has no fees, the entirety of your donation goes to fund our students.
- Full Control of Your Contribution 🛠️: The new platform gives you greater control over your monthly donation, including options to pause, update, or cancel at any time through your account.
How to Update Your Donation?
Here’s what you need to do to keep supporting Fugee:
- Visit the “Donate Monthly” Page: https://www.fugee.org/collections/frontpage/products/donate-monthly
- Choose Your Monthly Amount – Select the donation amount you’d like to contribute.
- Add to Cart and Complete Checkout – Enter your payment information to finish your subscription.
- Check Your Inbox – Look out for a confirmation email welcoming you as a monthly donor on our new platform!
