About CERTE

CERTE (Connecting & Equipping Refugees to Tertiary Education) is a bridge course providing training and networking possibilities for refugee youth transitioning from secondary to tertiary education. 

CERTE focuses on the essential soft skills, knowledge, and information students need to successfully apply for university or scholarship opportunities, navigate their studies, and achieve academic success.

Who is CERTE for?

Students who are studying, or have recently completed, IGCSE or GED-equivalent qualifications.

Students who want to continue their education, possibly at college or university.

Students who have a strong working knowledge of English (CERTE is conducted in English).

Help them develop a strong university application.

Skill Development

Enhance awareness of essential higher education skills and guide them to resources for skill development.

Workshops

We provide workshops that hone skills needed to excel academically and professionally, laying a strong foundation for success in higher education. 

Campus Visits

Through campus visits, students are able to be exposed to the university environment, connect with academic communities, and gain clarity on their educational goals.

Mentorships

We nurture students with their personal growth through one-to-one academic mentorship, guidance in their academic journey and building their skills along the way.
